Aim & Scope

Surgical Innovations & Transplant Medicine (SITM) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal that publishes high-quality research, reviews, and clinical studies in the fields of surgery, transplantation, and biomedical innovation. The journal provides a global platform for surgeons, clinicians, and researchers to share evidence-based practices, surgical advancements, and technological innovations that enhance patient outcomes and surgical excellence.

Its core mission is to promote interdisciplinary collaboration between surgeons, transplant specialists, and biomedical scientists by integrating fundamental research, clinical practice, and advanced technologies. The journal aims to foster continuous improvement in surgical techniques, organ transplantation, and perioperative management through the dissemination of original research and transformative ideas.

The journal welcomes contributions on a broad range of topics, including but not limited to:

  • General surgery, minimally invasive, and robotic surgical procedures

  • Organ transplantation (liver, kidney, heart, lung, pancreas, and multi-organ systems)

  • Transplant immunology, graft survival, and rejection mechanisms

  • Vascular, hepatobiliary, and thoracic surgery innovations

  • Experimental surgery, organ preservation, and donor optimization

  • Regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, and stem cell research

  • Biomaterials, 3D printing, and surgical technology integration

  • Transplant ethics, bioethics, and organ allocation policies

  • Perioperative management, critical care, and surgical safety

  • AI, robotics, and precision medicine in surgery and transplantation

We invite submissions in the form of original research articles, clinical trials, case reports, and review papers. All manuscripts should aim to advance the science and clinical practice of surgery and transplantation, contributing to improved healthcare delivery and patient survival globally.
