Advances in Microbiology & Infectious Diseases (AMID) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal that publishes high-quality research, reviews, and clinical studies in the fields of microbiology, infectious diseases, and microbial biotechnology. The journal provides a global platform for microbiologists, clinicians, epidemiologists, and researchers to share scientific discoveries, innovative diagnostic methods, and therapeutic advancements that contribute to infection control and microbial science.

Its core mission is to promote interdisciplinary collaboration between microbiology and clinical medicine by integrating molecular research, epidemiology, and public health strategies. The journal aims to foster scientific innovation in understanding microbial pathogenesis, antimicrobial resistance, and emerging infectious diseases to improve global health outcomes and strengthen disease prevention efforts.
