Aim & Scope

Advances in Human Anatomy & Biomedical Sciences (AHABS) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal that publishes high-quality research, reviews, and educational studies in the fields of human anatomy, physiology, and biomedical sciences. The journal provides a global platform for researchers, educators, and healthcare professionals to share discoveries that enhance understanding of human structure, function, and their applications in clinical and biomedical contexts.

Its core mission is to promote scientific and educational advancement by integrating fundamental anatomical knowledge with emerging trends in biomedical research and healthcare innovation. The journal aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration among anatomists, physiologists, biomedical engineers, and clinicians to advance human health, diagnostics, and medical education.

The journal welcomes contributions on a broad range of topics, including but not limited to:

  • Gross anatomy, histology, and embryology

  • Neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, and brain mapping

  • Human physiology and functional anatomy

  • Cellular and molecular mechanisms in health and disease

  • Biomedical imaging and radiological anatomy

  • Tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and biomaterials

  • Comparative and evolutionary anatomy

  • 3D modeling, virtual dissection, and digital anatomy education

  • Translational research in anatomy and biomedical sciences

  • Innovations in medical and anatomical education

We invite submissions in the form of original research articles, review papers, case studies, educational research, and short communications. All manuscripts should aim to contribute to the advancement of anatomical and biomedical knowledge for improving healthcare, education, and human well-being.
